Interactive Assemblies with a Positive Message (k-12, up to 300 students, 45 min - 1 hr)

SungBeats will amaze your students with champion-level beatboxing in an interactive assembly. Sung will not only to share his musical talent, but uplift and inspire students with a message of the importance of being kind and having a positive mindset, while sharing personal stories of the challenges he faced as a full time street performer in the subways of NYC to eventually winning Showtime at the Apollo.

Interactive Workshop (k-12, max group size 50, 45 min - 1 hr)

This beatboxing workshop is a deep dive into the wonderful capabilities of the human voice and the origins of beatboxing. Students will explore their voices in a silly, fun, and judgement free space, learning how to create vocal percussion, sound effects, basselines, trumpets, synthesizer sounds, and vocal scratches—all with the human voice! Sung will then split the students into groups and have them beatbox battle or jam collaboratively in teams. Sung will conclude by allowing students to record their voices on a loopstation (vocal layering) to create live music on the go.

Entertainment for Graduations and Post Proms (up to 300 students, 1 hr)

An interactive beatbox, vocal-looping show is the perfect form of entertainment for safe post-proms and graduations. Seniors yearn for memorable experiences and a sense of connection with each other as they approach their last days of school. What better way to facilitate these connections than by bringing everyone together to experience music in a completely unique way?

“My students were out of their seats, screaming, dancing, super joyous, very engaged, and enthusiastic because SungBeats came in ready to engage our girls! What stood out to me about his message the most was that we all have the ability to impact someone’s life in a positive way, and how we can change our mindset when things aren’t going the way we want them to. In a moment things can shift, and if we can focus on the positive and what we receive everyday, rather than the negative, every day becomes an opportunity to succeed! Thank you SungBeats!”

“Our Middle School and Upper School had the amazing privilege and honor of hosting Sung Beats at our opening school assembly. An incredible artist and human, Sung not only seamlessly connected with the students but he also inspired them, ignited their collective curiosity, and included them in his passion and craft. The energy in the auditorium while Sung performed was electric and full of life. Students left feeling grateful for having witnessed and learned about beatboxing, looping, perseverance, creativity, and passion. Sung is exceptionally talented and unbelievably grounded. Was a pleasure to have him back at our school and can’t wait to have him back!”

“Many students and faculty reached out to me to say what an amazing experience they had at the assemblies. Even parents shared what a great experience their kids had! Thank you for coming to TvF and sharing your talents with us!”

— Yoshie Otomo, Vice Principal
The Academy of TV and Film

People are still talking about the event. A huge thanks for your big energy and incredible talent. We had so much fun! Hope to be able to bring you down again sometimes in the future.”

“I write this letter to highly recommend, beatboxer extraordinaire, SungBeats. As a parent volunteer co-chair of the Multicultural Committee at Little Red Schoolhouse (LREI), our committee organizes one of the largest and most popular school wide events called Karamu. Karamu is a multicultural celebration which includes live, diverse entertainment. I had previously seen Sung perform at a NetKAL event and immediately thought to nominate him for Karamu. The Karamu planning committee voted on which acts to include and Sung easily made the cut. (The top 3 out of approximately 15 acts considered.) Sung was extremely professional prior to and during our Karamu celebration. Although the school wide event is for all grades (K-12), the majority of attendants are middle school aged and younger. The children (and the parents!) all loved Sung’s performance. His performance was highly skilled and engaging. He was able to have a few kids join him on stage for part of the performance, as well. This was a big hit! Although Sung performed at the 2016 Karamu event at LREI, people still talk about his performance now. Some parents even personally hired Sung to perform at private events after Karamu. Once again, I highly recommend Sung Lee as a performer. If you are looking for a uniquely gifted artist who is also professional and a pleasure to work with - SungBeats is your man.”
