The interactive performance will be mainly geared towards entertainment, while the assembly will have an added educational message, storytelling, and Q&A. In addition to the musical component in assemblies, Sung will inspire the students with stories of adversity as a full time street performer for 7 years and the importance of persistence and never giving up. Sung’s technical requirements are straightforward and similar to the setup of a keyboard or a guitar. He will usually need a sound system, wireless microphones, and a stage monitor as basic requirements. Sung will coordinate with the camp tech crew and make the best efforts to work with what is available in-house or additionally bring his own equipment.

Zero musical knowledge is required. Sung prides himself in being able to break down complex musical ideas in a way that is easy to digest for kids. Sung himself is not musically trained and does not play any instruments except his voice!

Sung will do a maximum of 4 workshops in a day. Maximum size of each group is 50 kids.

For the “workshop + showcase what you learned package,“ Sung will instruct members of each workshop group to collaborate together and cover a popular song acapella style with beatboxing, singing and other vocal techniques. Each group will essentially be split into different musical components: percussion, melody, harmony, bass and so forth. No musical experience is required!
